What’s cooking at Pierotucci in Tuscany Italy?

On July 18, 2012 the Pierotucci Italian Leather Factory artisans are working on the Toscanella Italian Leather Messenger.

Here you can see Renza, one of our top assemblers,  working on connecting the stylized striped lining on these messenger bags.  She takes the previously cut vachetta leather back to the messenger bag and attaches the cotton lining with an adhesive material.  Then with a quick tap of a small hammer, she will reinfornce the staying power of the glue which will keep it in place when the pieces are then sewn together.

Thanks so much. The artisans in our production department are fascinating to watch. I immagine it’s like that when ever you watch truly skilled people “create”.
