Sparkle This New Year’s Eve With a Killer Combination – The Dress, the Heels, & the Handbag

Sparkle your way into the new year. With the end of the year approaching, it’s time to say goodbye to all that has happened in 2012 and look to a new year full of new adventures. So what are your plans for the ever so infamous New Year’s Eve. Will you be going to a private party, attending an elegant roof top dinner, or perhaps hosting an event of your own? Whatever you decide, look stunning while doing it in the perfect dress, heels, and handbag. And remember while you’re putting your hot little number together, black is always sexy and sophisticated.
And if you’re like me, adding sparkle and shimmer to glamour up your outfit is a must. I swear I would wear sparkles everyday if it weren’t for the fact that I’d probably look ridiculous and like I was attending a party all the time. So, instead I take my favorite color to dress up in, black of course, and throw in some color and sparkles and voilà!
I do also like to mix and match styles a bit, maybe a vintage, twenties looking dress with edgier studded heels. Or even a bright colored pair of heels to pop against your black cocktail dress would do the trick.
Then it’s time to choose the evening bag. Which style fits you best? I know sometimes it depends on what your night entales. If you go out dancing maybe it’s best to have a long cross body strap and if you’re plans are a bit more relaxed like dinner, perhaps a clutch works best.
Take a look at these combinations of dresses, heels, and handbags for a bit of inspiration this New Year’s Eve. Best of luck!
Classic Cars, Classic Movies, and Classic…?
Posted by Pierotucci in Cosci, Designer Handbag Fashion, Pierotucci on September 15, 2012
Handbags. It’s in style. It was in style. It will ALWAYS be in style. Those are more or less my particular thoughts when I think of something classic. Adding classic pieces to your wardrobe is definitely worth thinking about, worth investing in. And let’s face it, if it’s something timeless, it’s well worth the money you paid for it, because for the most part, you’ll be able to wear it, accessorize it, or parade around in it any time you please. Take this classic, Italian leather evening bag for example, you’re certainly not going to wake up one morning and find that your handbag has disgraced itself and lost its class. Like I said before, classic is truly timeless. This classic cream, gold accented, Chanel inspired evening bag is perfect for when you play dress up, go out to dinner, have an event to attend or just when you want to look your very best. So, if you don’t already have those classic staple items in your wardrobe that immediately come to mind or you’re like me, and can never get enough, today is the perfect day for ” classic” shopping!
Planning my exotic cruise in Bali
Posted by Pierotucci in Cosci, Gherardini on January 3, 2012
I am so excited to be celebrating 25 years of marital….well at this moment it seems like bliss even though there are many moments when I want to bop him on the head! A wonderful surprise happened our way and I am now busy programming how to pack all of my goodies for an exotic luxury cruise from Bali to Singapore!
And while I am considering all the dress requirements, travelling needs and outfits that mix and match . . . not to mention all the airline rules and regulations about the minimum number of bags and how much they can weigh … I am taking a mental inventory of all the things I have yet to add to my wardrobe! – and time is short, we leave on the 15 of Jan!!!!
My first concern is to have a way to tote all my things with me on the many events and activities that will happen on the cruise, so here are my choices:
I just know that I will be wanting to participate in all the excursions – and that means carrying around a mix of documents, wallets, cameras, sunglasses, sun screen and then on the way back to the ship I will be collecting all kinds of souvenirs for my children, friends and colleagues at work. The Gherardini Moonsilk Small Duffel Bag with adjustable shoulder strap is my number one choice for tours and excursions. It’s big with many organizing pockets. Just count them: one internal zip pocket, 5 internal organizing pockets and 2 external pockets with pull cord closures. It has an adjustable cross body strap and a shoulder strap, so it will be easy to carry around. AND Its made from the signature Gherardini Moonsilk – and though they do not proclaim it as water proof, it will definitely deflect a grand part of the rain . . . while being extremely light!
Next on my list is a bag to carry around with me while on board floating from the casino where I will win a few dollars before dinner, the formal seating at the dining room, then to after dinner show in the on board theater then tripping the light fantastic with my romantic hubby to sighing over the selection at the midnight buffet. So I will be looking for something compact to hold my room key, my lipstick, a few dollars for the slot machine and of course … my camera! I thought this Cosci bag in a metallic leather weave would be convenient – showing silver and gold it will go well with warm colors as well as cool colors and the metallic touch makes it more suitable for the evenings. The long strap allows me to keep my hands free for dancing, clapping and eating. BUT I also like the classic black … choices choices choices…
The last thing I am looking for is a bag that I can carry around on board during the day to hold my keys, sun glasses, sunscreen, light reading and maybe a shirt to cover me from too much sun. I was immediately leaning towards Taiuti Leather Hand Bag in a bucket style which come in great colors like yellow, beige and blue. It has the bare minimum of two organizing pockets for the little stuff and an easy shoulder strap. I thought this bag would move well with me from poolside to the lunch lounge to a quick trip off into town for some port side shopping. Not too big – but then not too small.
My requirements were: lightweight – size is important but absolutely something that is not going to get heavier with every step I take. Weather proof, though the weather should be warm – it can also be quite humid with sudden rain burst – so I want something that will not get wet and soggy. Colorful – hey I am on vacation, so lets add some color!! besides when it is bright then I will have a harder time losing it! And with these three handbag choices, I think I am covered!
Fun and Flair with my Aussie Co-worker for th New Years Celebration
Posted by Pierotucci in Cosci, Out and about in Florence on December 30, 2011
So when asked how she would celebrate the arrival of 2012 – she responded with lots of glitter, color and playfulness . . . right down to her toes. Our Aussie shelia (a/k/a Susan) is quite the party girl. She loves to mix and mingle and always on the look out for a place that is really going off. It’s London to a brick that dressed like this she is bound to find an Italian bloke to dance the night away with.

. . . nothing like a little red to dress for the holidays. It always seems to say “informal, yet very very hot.”
