The final touch to your evening out, the perfect #leatherhandbag

Evening Bags from Italian
Cosci, Michael Kors, Moshino, Furla and more in Italian leather
After the gorgeous dress, the killer stilettos, the seamless makeup, polished nails and the divine fragrance the next obvious step in dressing to go out at night is the perfect evening bag. Traditionally these designer evening bags are black satin, black patent leather or black sequin but in every case these little leather handbags are considereg no more (or less) than an accessory – a designer piece that will enhance your overall appearance.
The stranger the shape . . . some would even say the better. The ideal Italian leather evening handbag is projected to hold the bare necessities for a true lady out on the town . . . her phone, her ID, a bit of mad money, a touch up lipstick … and maybe just maybe, as atomizer perfume spray bottle.
At one time you would have thrown in a pair of opera length leather gloves, but you only see those on the fashion runways anymore!
Every designer adds a line of specialty bags to those collections to match those lovely couture outfits – stunning with black satin tassels and gold colored accents. says M. Tucci from Pierotucci Leather Factory
By definition an evening bag is contained in its size, so as to not out strip the importance of the outfit and the “serata” but this does not diminish the necessity of having the just the right size. Most evening bags are shown as clutch bags, tucked under the arm and matching well with the outfit. But the reality of the events normally request that the evening bag come with a removable shoulder or cross body strap. Today’s nightlife is much more active which means your evening handbag needs to be on the move with you.
However there is no denying that the allure of an evening bag is sometimes just to add that picture perfect touch to the outfit – a designer piece like this Jason Wu bag in the 2013 Collection is the perfect example of a artists master piece.

Got a Red Hot Chili Pepper by the Handle
Posted by Pierotucci in Designer Handbag Fashion on February 20, 2013
For more than one reason February is associated with red and hearts – Pierotucci is embracing the challenge to show you something red every day. Just a little reminder to Go Red for Women and take care of your heart.

Nothing says good luck in Italy like a red hot chili pepper! Here are a couple of our new FORTUNATA leather handbag models with piping red hot handles. The traditional symbol of good luck throughout Italy is what gives this designer leather handbag its name. Legend tells that the “corno” actually represents the horns of the goat Amalthea, who is said to have nursed the god Zeus with her milk. Zeus then conferred the power to grant all wished to the horn of Amalthea – in effect making it a symbol of good luck. Not only is the “corno” used as a source of good fortune and plenty – but that also explains where the horn of plenty or cornucopia comes from. Whether it is true or not, Italians love to keep this trinket nearby so that they will be blessed with tanto ma tanto furtuna!

These bags were made for using …
Posted by Pierotucci in Designer Handbag Fashion on February 20, 2013
just like those boots were made for walking! When you think about just how much time you use your business briefcase or business tote bag, it just makes sense that the bag is made to be used the way you need it.
What is the easiest thing to customized on a leather bag? – The Handles.
Many bags will actually come with adjustable and even removable shoulder straps – which makes it so much easier to customize the bag once it is in your possession. But there are handles – like rolled top handles which are sewn into position and they are … well let’s just say one size fits all.
But the truth of the matter is – one size does NOT fit all. If you are 160 cm then a handle drop with more than 10 – 11 cm on a hand tote can very well have you dragging that bag instead of toting the bag.
Our shopper A.S. from Switzerland wrote to say,
I want to thank you for your time and effort – I found a video on the internet of how the factory works and I immediately appreciated that “custom” jobs … (require skill)
She went through the Pierotucci business bag collection and selected on a model that answered all of her concerns, then she wrote to explain that she required a a customization – giving full details: I am only 159 cm tall, and depending on heel height, I have a maximum clearance of 65-70 cm between fist and earth. We were flattered to hear that she had faith in our master craftsman skills when she wrote: I am certain he will know exactly what I need.

Sparkle This New Year’s Eve With a Killer Combination – The Dress, the Heels, & the Handbag
Posted by Pierotucci in Cosci, Designer Handbag Fashion, Leather Accessories, Marco Buggiani, Pierotucci on December 26, 2012
Sparkle your way into the new year. With the end of the year approaching, it’s time to say goodbye to all that has happened in 2012 and look to a new year full of new adventures. So what are your plans for the ever so infamous New Year’s Eve. Will you be going to a private party, attending an elegant roof top dinner, or perhaps hosting an event of your own? Whatever you decide, look stunning while doing it in the perfect dress, heels, and handbag. And remember while you’re putting your hot little number together, black is always sexy and sophisticated.
And if you’re like me, adding sparkle and shimmer to glamour up your outfit is a must. I swear I would wear sparkles everyday if it weren’t for the fact that I’d probably look ridiculous and like I was attending a party all the time. So, instead I take my favorite color to dress up in, black of course, and throw in some color and sparkles and voilà!
I do also like to mix and match styles a bit, maybe a vintage, twenties looking dress with edgier studded heels. Or even a bright colored pair of heels to pop against your black cocktail dress would do the trick.
Then it’s time to choose the evening bag. Which style fits you best? I know sometimes it depends on what your night entales. If you go out dancing maybe it’s best to have a long cross body strap and if you’re plans are a bit more relaxed like dinner, perhaps a clutch works best.
Take a look at these combinations of dresses, heels, and handbags for a bit of inspiration this New Year’s Eve. Best of luck!
Slow and Steady Doesn’t Always Win the Race But Simply Stunning Does
Posted by Pierotucci in Designer Handbag Fashion, Fashion and Color, Leather Accessories, Marco Buggiani, Pierotucci on December 21, 2012
Turn heads this holiday season. It’s like I said, while slow and steady may not always win the race what does is simple and sophisticated. Let’s throw in a sexy while we’re at it, too. People love prints and wild clothing, something that stands out from the rest but sometimes, less is more. This is something I have come to realize and what a big difference it can make. We all know the people are always on the cutting edge of fashion, wearing something stunning yet just a bit the edge. I love that style! Especially when it comes to mixing my favorite fashion color with something as exciting and festive as the color Red, probably my second favorite fashion color.
Red leather gloves against the sophistication of a black leather handbag, wool jacket and cashmere scarf is almost literally like the cherry on top of a black forest chocolate cake . . . divine. I willl be dressing my Holiday outfit with the classical touch of Christmas red and since I am heading back to sunshine all year long (instead of frost covered Florence, Tuscany) I am dreaming of an off the shoulder dress, black patent leather pumps and an easy to carry black leather handbag. What will you be wearing this holiday?

Don’t “Break The Bank” Holiday Gifts From Campomaggi
Posted by Pierotucci in Campomaggi, Designer Handbag Fashion, Fashion and Color, Florence and its artisans, Leather Accessories, Pierotucci, Product Reviews on December 12, 2012
I’ve been searching all over Florence for gifts for my family and friends. But with a virtual world of technology at my figertips, I can’t help but want to look online before I dive into a big purchase. And even more importantly, I don’t want to be homeless after Christmas. So, what can you buy this season that is sure to impress without breaking the bank? Well, I think I found the answer.
Have you ever heard of Campomaggi? For those of you who haven’t, Campomaggi is an Italian brand that handmakes leather goods using a vintage washed leather that is absolutely one of a kind. With a very particular look, Campomaggi has been able to seperate itself from the rest of the brands here in Italy and around the world. Their main focus is leather handbags for men and women including business and travel bags, but they are no stranger to smaller leather items, which happen to make fantastic gifts. Here are a few favorite of mine.
The ipad case comes in a dark brown and a cognac like most of their items. This too, has that distressed look and a deep, rich looking color. It has a thick felt lining on the inside to ensure your ipad is safe and sound and to secure it shut, there is a snap closure with the campomaggi symbol on the bronze, antique button. I bought my mom an ipad for Christmas this year and I’m sure this would make a great gift to accompany it.
Then there is the tabacco pouch. I have to be honest, the concept for me is stll a bit foreign since I’m not a smoker. However, I am surrounded by smokers in Italy and a majority of people that roll their own cigarettes, whether it’s to cut back on costs or because it’s what they prefer. Either way, this handmade leather pouch is beautifully made and a great idea to keep all of your rolling papers and tobacco
together. With a snap closure, this rustic looking pouch has a chain so you can hook it to your pants or bag. On the inside you’ll also find two compartments, one with a zipper and a card holder.
If you’re looking for just a card holder, here it is. This card holder, like the rest of the lot, uses a dark vintage looking leather to give it a bit of a rugged look. You can find two open card slots, one on each side. By all means, this card holder is for simple folk that prefer to carry just a few cards on them. The essentials, let’s say.
And finally, there is the washed leather cell phone holder. This phone case comes with a stud snap closure and two more soley for decoration. It also comes with a loop so if you please you have the option of being able to loop it onto your belt.
All of these handmade Italian leather items pricepoints are from about 50 to 150 euro making them the perfect items to gift. Something that’s handmade and hard to come by in most places speaks volumes for itself. Not to mention, Italy’s leather is considered some of the best leather in world.
I wouldn’t mind the ipad case for myself, but I suppose first I should start with getting an ipad. Happy shopping!
How to Create an Italian Christmas Using Wine, Grapes, and Deep Bordeaux
Posted by Pierotucci in Caterina Lucchi, Designer Handbag Fashion, Fashion and Color, Leather Accessories, Pierotucci, vintage bag on December 9, 2012
When you think of Christmas, I’m sure you must think of red and green. I certainly do! But don’t let the idea of using different colors scare you off. Be adventurous, take your favorite color, and turn it into your Christmas theme this year. Everywhere I look Florence is filled with shades of purples and burgandy. The first and most important reason, which I’m sure any Italian and more specifically, any Florentine, would tell you, is because of their football (soccer) team, Fiorentina. People literally bleed purple over here and I am not exaggerating. I mean you can even see police on duty running down the streets in a panic into open bars and cafes that are playing the match on game day when screams and cheering are heard. Ok, well I won’t get carried away, back to my point. Bordeaux shades of deep reds and purples are everywhere you look in Tuscany from the wine, to sports, to Italian Leather. It’s a color that fits this area well and brings a certain type of richness to everything. So why not bring that richness to your home this year. Try something different and have a real Tuscan Christmas. Hanging grapes from your tree, although I don’t reccommend real ones, and wine ornaments will have all your friends talking. Get reinspired this Christmas and decorate however and with whatever you see fit.
