Sometimes a designer handbag is the proverbial cherry on the cake

When you are dressing and spending so much time agonizing over just the right color top, matching heels – picking out the perfect jacket and lipstick – its impossible to ignore the effect that just the right handbag can have on your outfit. When our designer sits down to start matching up leather handbag bases with contrasting top handles, accents and canvas straps he takes this into consideration. He knows that some just want a loud statement with color, texture and design and some just want a handbag that is simple elegant and timeless.
With this in mind, we are announcing the addition of more FORTUNTA designer Tote handabags in some great colors and mix and matches..
The theme in this batch is playing on the contrast between handbag base and the leather accents, just check out the mix and match of colors. For example the classic black bag with colorful accents such as green, tangerine, brown and cherry red. This new selection of Fortunta concentrate on mixing basic colors with splashes of contrasting colors – yet keeping the interiors of these handbags simple and clean with solid colors.

Since these designer hand bags are a limited edition and they are all part of a numbered series, therefore our designer felt he could play with some of the more trendy colors out this year like the tangerine orange color or the gold metallics.
We made a promise at the beginning of 2012 and that was to always have something new on line every week. And thus far, we have managed to keep this promise! We have been adding new leather jackets, fashion jewelry from Italian designers, 18k gold designs in filigree and that’s not all we have a restyling of the Toscanella brand coming up soon.
Glitz and Glitter in a Limited Edition

Mirroring the sparkling metallic colors out on the catwalks for SPRING 2012, Pierotucci has brought out their Limited Edition Spring Bag with genuine leather accents and a glitzy sequin design on the front. A mix of styles with a woven straw body and colored leather accents, like we saw in the D & G Spring Collection with a hand sewn glittery design as seen with Michael Kors. There is a shoulder tote with a comfortable long handle which almost has a beachy feel to it, but the sequin give it an elegance that will have it move easily from casual daytime to night time with no problem. The smaller version, is the ideal accent for moving from daytime fun time to evening and elegance. These bags have been brought out in a limited edition and are available on line. The shoulder tote is large and roomy, allowing for all your personal items and even a light sweater to make an easy transition of daytime daydreaming to a romantic evening.
Both are lined in a lightweight, neutral colored cotton and have interior organizing pockets. Genuine leather top handles and side accents, which help to maintain the sturdiness of these handmade designer handbags. The shoulder bag has a magnetic snap closure and a interior zip pocket.

The Zoe report tells us that not only metallics are hot but also pastel shades. Caught a post from Runwaycrazy that shows the D & G highlights, and we must say that we love the way that not only are they using wicker like bags but their colors are all on shades of pastels and intricate lace like patterns – just like what we have seen in Cosci and Caterina Lucchi.
Marco Buggiani, a constant companion and going strong

Cont’d Pierotucci is not made up of only leather craftsman! We have a large showroom with all of our jackets, bags and accessories and in this shop we have an informed bi (and sometimes tri) lingual sales staff. They are the ambassadors for Pierotucci and we depend on them to know the details of each bag as if they had made each one. Since they are a little camera shy… we have enticed them to select their favorite bag.
Some come for the beauty of Italy and some never leave for the same reason. Naoko landed in Italy to learn the language and has remained because . . . well does there always need to be a because. She has been with Pierotucci for over three years and is extremely knowledgeable about all of our products. When she isn’t organizing our leather accessory displays or selling handbags you can find her basking in the sun reading a good book.
Naoko chose one of our many Marco Buggiani bags . . . actually this is her bag and she chose it last year. When I asked her why – she said, “I use it every day and it keeps its shape and hasn’t lost its color.” Not only do these bags stand up to the constant wear but they are practical and a good bargain! But what she really likes about her bag is that it has an outside pocket with a zipper.
