OMGosh, did we miss National (Leather) Skirt Day? #leatherskirt
Posted by Pierotucci in Fashion and Color on March 15, 2013
Even if we did, that doesn’t mean that we are missing out on some pretty fantastic styles fresh off the catwalk this year.
It appears the date varies quite a bit from the first day of Spring to the 10th of March, but in any case we are prepared! We have been watching the designer fashion shows in NYC, Paris and Milan and enjoying the display of leather and fur that is showing up everywhere for the FW 2013 fashions.
Tradition has it that Skirt Day is to not only celebrate the warm temps, sunny days and the fresh air but also to tempt and tease those men! But who said that Skirt Day was all about giving the guys a glimpse at what we ladies have been covering up for the last few snow days . . . with some of the designs out on this year, Skirt Day is just as much all about us and feeling sexy once more!
We have already seen several enchanting leather skirt designs that have our fingers itching for our credit card. Have a look at our preferred designer leather skirts:
The thick leather wouldn’t flow in a long skirt but it definitely looks sexy as a wrap around short skirt.
Both of these skirts have a stunning texture about them – the red with the contrasting color underside and the patent leather skirt in an orange – rust color.
Don’t know what exactly caught my eye first, the swirls of the short cut black leather skirt or the cross body messenger bag in a black leather with a monogram. Either way, they make the grade for National (leather) Skirt Day.
A little bit naughty and a lot bit nice, this black leather button up shirt is tucked into a black leather pencil skirt with a link lace on the edges.
This little skirt is definitely the thing that dreams are made of, maybe with a slick pair of high black boots.

Absolutely sexy in red leather, don’t you agree?

Its Sunday and the skies are gray and cloudy here in Florence, Italy – this little number is just what you need to add a bit of spice to your day. There is no arguing with just how sexy a red Italian leather long jacket is … especially when you are wearing nothing underneath
What’s different? Definitely the color, it is bright and clear – a true Frebruary red. Though seen here in red, this Italian leather trench is also available in an off white.
What’s there to like about this Italian leather jacket? The cut. This jacket is cut generously and completely lined in viscose so it is easy to slip on over a suit or other clothing . . . or if you want over nothing! The belt around the middle is exactly perfect for highlighting
What could be different? Perhaps not so busy with the shoulder and cuff straps.

Featuring a roomy hand tote bag from FRANCESCO BIASIA in February red with patent black leather handles. Made from a soft and supple leather, this viscose lined ladies tote bag is just the trick for chasing away those winter Monaco blues! Francesco Biasia is line of Italian leather handbags which has recently be taken over by the ever so colorful Braccialini designers. The designs of F. Biasia have a tendency to offer classical styles for a mature shopper. They can make an easy transition from the board room to the happy hour with their elegance and design.
What’s different? The size of this Italian leather bag with the easy top zip closure is a nice contrast to the lightweight nature of the bag. This means you can load it up with tons of stuff and still carry it around easily.
What’s there to like about this Italian leather handbag? It has a black base in a sturdy leather to protect it from scuffing. The broad base makes assures a good balance when you set it down, making sure it won’t accidentally tip over.
What would be different? A bag this size would probably benefit from a shoulder strap. However the drop on the handles is large enough to comfortably slip over the shoulder if necessary.

An Italian Christmas for Wine Drinkers, Italian Leather Wearers, and Gold Jewelry Lovers

We have exactly 25 days left of the hustle and bustle before Christmas day is resting at our doorsteps. So what’s the solution to gift giving this Christmas? It’s simple, give the gift of Italy. I’m not talking about buying tickets for the family to Italy, although I’m sure no one is objecting. What I mean is bring Italy to you. Every Christmas I go home with a suitcase packed full of gifts from Italy for my family. Just in my region alone, Tuscany, they specialize in olive oil and olives, cheese, wine and liqueur, leather, gold jewelry, and pottery just to name a few. With all these options you can gift just about anyone in your family or circle of friends. Like, your foodie mom who can pinpoint even the most particular of flavors, your wine lover aunt and uncle that are always searching for a new bottle of vino to try, your greenthumb best friend that needs a new pottery piece for the garden and almost anyone with a beautifully handmade italian leather handbag, jacket, or wallet. I myself, have just wrapped up an orange leather handbag for my sister, black lambskin gloves for my mom, and an amazing couple bottles of wine for my dad that I’m hoping he’ll be generous enough to share. So stop procrastinating already and get shopping!
Wishing You a Very Merry Christmas From Pierotucci.
