Oscar de la Renta, colors and textures

The FW 2013 Oscar de la Renta lineup is a stunning mix of rich colors and varied textures.
What’s not to love about the mix highlighted in the photo below – the soft feminine long fur collar above the straight lines in the form hugging skirt.
Absolutely fantastic are the long leather gloves in the same gorgeous jewel tone as the skirt. These long leather gloves are showing up frequently this fashion week . . . and as a fashion accessory they are fantastic – colorful and very very elegant.
Yellow! What is there not to like about this color?

Especially when designers like Marc Jacobs, Porselli and OdR are using it on the catwalks. I don’t know if I could get away with wearing only this fabulous shade of sunshine . . . but I wouldn’t mind trying with these pieces. Those yellow leather gloves would be just the perfect accent to my winter coat – now that I believe I could pull off.

or maybe saw a leather jacket and think “why didn’t the designer add a ….”
Apparently Oscar de la Renta heard you because he has opened up The Board, a place where we can go with all of our designing inspiration, thoughts, ideas, considerations and helpful hints, upload them thus passing them on to the Oscar de la Renta design team.
In this video he explains his reasoning behind opening up the “board” to the public for their input.
