When creating a collection, the secret is not only knowing what is showing for the upcoming year (cuts, colors and accessories) but to know when you have a winner already in your closet. Pierotucci have taken a best seller, like this Italian leather jacket for women with leather lace and made a choice to keep it in the collection . . . with just one small deviation to the plan. The color. The color on this designer leather jacket is one of a kind. Made from 100% genuine Italian nappa lambskin, it has the classic characteristics of being soft, supple and delicious to touch. The deep green color works well with this fitted ladies jacket, accenting the classic lines and elegant style.
Sometimes designers will follow the dictates from the large fashion – this year it is all about Monaco blue – and last year it was all tango tangerine. BUT sometimes a designer will make the choice to stick to tradition, choosing colors for their longevity, their ability to stay in fashion indefinitely and their neutral appeal. This deep green – a mix between an emerald green and a forest green is the perfect touch to a bit of variation in the wardrobe.
The color is mature and elegant and yet also very feminine. Take a classic cut jacket, add a bit of lace and play with the color and you have perfection. This jacket is more than worthy to hang in your closet right next to the wardrobe “must” – a black Italian leather jacket!
What’s different? The front zip on the jacket, last years models has the hook and eye closure system and the designers switched over to the tried and true front zip. Not only is this more secure but offers a clear looking and accents the curves of the wearer and not the bulges!
What’s there to like? For the second year in a row, Pierotucci is highlighting a jacket with the leather eyelet trimming. The style of the jacket is classic and a timeless style, outliving trends and “moda” however it is the laser cut leather lace along the edges that make it feminine.
What would could be different? This is a personal preference for sure, but I am not a great fan of cuffs. I find them bulky and they always come un-done. However, compliments to the seamstress, because special care was taken to wear this jacket with or without cuffs: note the detailing of the reversible lace.
