A little bit of help please

I am looking to do some advertising for Pierotucci, Leather Factory and I have two possible images to use. Have a look, and let me know which one calls your attention most – and what does it communicate to you.
I appreciate your help!

Pierotucci Handmade Leather Factory

The first image centers on the fact that all of our products are handmade right here in Florence Italy – what I don’t like is that it doesn’t really show our full range of products.

The second pulls in a Florence skyline and a selection of our products, but I am not sure it really communicates that we hand make everything right here in Italy.

  1. I like the second one, It conveys the artistic style of the company. I like that it shows many products. The Image is appealing and I like that it shows the city. Where a product comes from is important to the customer. Both are beautiful images.

  2. Is there a way to blend the two concepts into one photo, or does it have to be one or the other?

If it has to be one or the other, I lean toward the second one, which shows a clearer image of your lineup. Plus–and I mean no disrespect by this–the hands which are stitching in the first should have their nails clipped a little shorter, if they are to be seen that closely. Just my opinion. Let us know which one you pick!

    1. Didn’t notice that about the finger nails, I guess we could photo shop it shorter 😉 I would have preferred to incorporate the handmade quality into the second – but many have already told me that it is pretty much a a given that quality products are made by hand. Thanks for your input, I found it to be very valuable.

      1. I’m glad…I don’t feel comfortable giving out opinions lately, since everybody has one, and I know that mine isn’t right for everyone. Best of luck!

  3. I really like the second one better because it is selling a lifestyle. Not only are there all these great leather items you could and should have in your wardrobe but they come from one place. The pic in the background makes it a fantastic place to be! So over all it is a bit more aspirational. I think that most people who are purchasing quality leather items, know that they are handmade, so I would think you want to sell the dream and the lifestyle. Plus you are covering a number of different price points in the second shot.
    Cheers,
    Laura

  4. I agree with JMgrama. I truly love the first picture as it gave me an emotional feeling towards the efforts put into making these unique pieces, but at the same time unfortunately it doesnt give us any clue in what’s being produced.

    1. That is precisely what I want to avoid. I thought it important for future guests to know we have a wide range of products.
Thanks for taking the time to comment.

  5. I think that the second one invites you much more into leather. The colours and the range flying in the sky gives the sensation of freshness and I agree with the one person saying that most people who wears leather knows that it’s mostly handmade.
    Cio, ciao, Barbara

  6. I like the second one better. Catches my eye, tells me what I want to know. Gives me an idea of the products that are made/sold. Also, the different colors catch my eye.
